Hello all, Terry Hatfield here. Yesterday we announced that CINB-FM has begun the testing phase of their new facilities. This means sometime in the coming weeks; 96.1 FM will be making the switch to its new ministry format. We pray for the staff and volunteers at CINB-FM as the move in a new direction to reach a new group of people. We want to thank everyone who listened and supported NewSong FM while it was on the radio for almost 20 years. I want to re-assure you that NewSong FM will continue as an internet only station when CINB-FM makes their switch. We have been working behind the scenes to clean-up our music library, add new music and we will continue to provide the best in Christian Hit Music to our listeners. Thank you for your patience as we begin to transition these two ministries.

Station Update

On Nov. 20th, 2000 the airwaves of Saint John changed as New Song FM became the first 24 hour Christian radio station in New Brunswick.

We would like to thank our listeners, volunteers and supporters for all you have done over the past 20 years. We especially would like to thank Terry Hatfield, who has been with New Song FM from the beginning and has been the back-bone of the station in many ways.

There are multiple Christian radio stations available in our listening area, which can make getting enough support difficult.

New Song FM has been forced to make some tough decisions.

Soon New Song FM as you know it, will become a “thing of the past”. We urge our listeners to tune into CKOE FM 103.5 to continue to hear the great contemporary Christian music you hear now on New Song FM.

Terry Hatfield will continue to operate New Song FM as an on-line radio station only.

While change is never easy, we ask you to continue to pray for CINB FM as we strive to follow the Lord’s direction in a new and different way.

Stay tuned for more exciting news in the days and weeks ahead.
